DreamHost Adds One-Click WordPress Install
My web host, DreamHost, announced today that WordPress, the free and rapidly spreading blogging software, can now be automatically installed on any account. You pick which domain and directory you want the software on, type the name of the MySQL database you'd like to create (if you don't already have one), and their new utility takes care of the rest. They even provide instructions for current MovableType users on how to migrate existing content. Current DreamHost users can find it under the "Goodies" tab.
For users interested in a one-stop solution to get a blog up and online with minimal fuss (and very low cost to boot), and for legacy users interested in switching publishing tools, it's a very tempting offer indeed.
