Reboot

Two weeks of watching movies. Two weeks of booze. Two weeks of sugary treats. Two weeks of family and friends. Two weeks of consistently sleeping in, and dozing off, later than I have since my college days. And, of course, two weeks of zero content on this site.

Today it is "back to work" after two very long, relaxing, thoroughly unproductive weeks away from it all. Most times I'm quick to squelch any hint of laziness in both my personal and professional walks of life, but 2003 was different -- easily one of the busiest, most exciting years I've ever had. So this year, I decided the best plan was to have no plan, unplug myself from anything that reminded me of work, and instead consume until my belly was full, my brain half-connected, and my spirits high.

Booting up this morning, it would appear most other people I know took a literal break as well. And with the worker bees away, it would appear nothing of major importance or interest happened in the web dev / design news wires either. Again, a good thing.

But today marks a new day, and a new year, and truth be told, I'm not entirely sure I'm ready to accept it.
