Scary Movie 3, Shaolin Soccer
Okay, maybe I was just in need of a good laugh, but I found these two movie trailers incredibly funny: Scary Movie 3 | Shaolin Soccer. (Tip: if your QuickTime movie is in a small-ish box, set your QuickTime Preferences to the highest connection rate possible. Will take longer to download, but the bigger movie is worth it).

what a travesty!
I bought shaolin soccer almost two years ago, from the local vcd/svcd retailer subtitled is the way it should be. I even heard that they re-edited the north american version took out some funny maked scenes and all the singing ones that americans would find boring. they even re-did the titleing which now stinks BTW.
I suggest heading down to your local asian part of town and getting yourself a legit real copy and watching that, would probably be cheaper than going to the movies as well

I had not seen Shaolin Soccer previewed yet, but that looks dang funny. Probably has all the hokey feel good sports metaphors and I am sure the good guys win in the end after overcoming some supernatural bad karma/circumstance. But, it still looks like a fun time.
At least it isn't another martial arts movie taking itself too seriously (hey Jet Li...).

Shaolin Soccer is amazingly good. I don't know if I saw the original or the sanitized US version. Don't recall any singing, but I'm sure it would be hilarious.

Ugh, I just watched the trailer. The dubbing is awful and the titling does stink. I must have seen the excellent original version after all.

Like everybody else already said, it's the best movie ever, but make absolutely sure you see the original one, subtitled.
I was at my local video store one time checking out, and I overheard one of the staff answer the phone:
"Hello?" "Let me check. What was that name again? Shaolin Soccer? OK..." "No, I'm sorry we don't have it. OK, bye."
I commented that they have really smart customers. They were like, "dude, what?" I said Shaolin Soccer is an excellent excellent movie. They thought I was kidding! "Yeah, I bet it's REAL GOOD." I protested, "No, I'm serious, I mean it's like *actually good*. It won best movie in Hong Kong the year it came out, you have to see it! It's coming out in America later this year!" But the more I told them what I thought, the more they thought I was being sarcastic, and the more they laughed. "Yeah right! HAhahahah! Shaolin Soccer! That'll be due back Friday, dude. HAHAHA! That's a RIOT!"
Philistines.

yeah, shaolin soccer is great! It's kind of a combination of a love story, slapstick and matrix-like soccer scenes. at any rate, it's very funny and really hillarious.

shaolin soccer is excellent; it is one of my favorite stephen chow films. ebay usually has a nice selection of original dubbed films from hong kong for several dollars, usually bundled with other similar dvds. i got shaolin soccer and god of cookery for $6 off ebay.

Help.
Quicktime needs additional software to play this movie. UNFORTUNATELY, IT IS NOT AVAILABLE ON QUICKTIME SERVERS.
Apple.coms own trailers? wtf.

Shaolin Soccer is great. I've seen it a few years ago (you know, it was set to be released on USA some two years ago, but it was vetoed by FIFA because they said it would give americans a bad [violent] impression of football and it was important not to do it during the world cup - haha, go figure - so they delayed it release date and edited it). Like most HK shaolin movies, it's badly translated to english (the subtitled version is crazy - some of the dialogues doesn't make much sense, the engrish use is high - but it's still a great movie. I was already a fan of shaolin-like movies, and Stephen Chow is one of my heroes now.
And I agree - you have to find the original version. It's really better. There are SVCD versions/resellers floating on the net. The michael-jackson-thriller-parody scene (one of the scenes that were cut from what I know) lacks any kind of reality sense, but it's pretty cool.
Dubbed movies: just say NO!

A private citizen has paid the $2000 fine for the 12 year-old girl.
I can't believe what the RIAA is doing is legal. Grr.
