iCommune is Back
Remember iCommune? That innocuous little iTunes plug-in that made Apple freak out and Wired, Slashdot, and News.com to salivate over a hot story? A few months after the beta plug-in was removed from the web, iCommune is back.
A completely new application, the 2.0 build of iCommune has the same functionality as the first version (sharing of iTunes libraries over local networks and across the internet) but is now a standalone application. The integration isn't as slick as the first version, but the functionality can't be beat. If you've been dying to share your iTunes library with friends, or even yourself from a remote connection, give it a shot.

Just downloaded it and its rockin! Nice distraction for tax day! Thinking about heading over to "Sacred Grounds" (here in ATL) to stream my tunes wirelessly from my home box to my laptop. Ooooo yeaaaas.

Hi Todd. Have you gotten this new version to work? It seems most people are having trouble with it. I can't get post the red stop sign when logging on to www.icommune.net/music. Oh well...
