Limbo

"So, what's new with you? Yeah, not much here either. I've been working on a few different things. Well, nothing you can actually see. Business has been kind of weird lately because I seem to be spending more time talking about work than actually doing it. Lots of typed up proposals, submitting estimates, waiting...oh - of course! I'd much rather be doing paperwork like this than none at all, but I just have this feeling that the four or maybe five projects I have in limbo right now will all be approved and crash down on me at the same time. Yeah, nice problem to have. Or, it could go the other way, and I'd be left with one project and disappointment that the others didn't happen for whatever reason. Yes, that's true - it's all part of running your own business. Like they always say, 'if you never hear 'no' you're not trying hard enough.' No - I don't know who said that. Tonight? Well we're going out to buy a Christmas tree, so we'll have a full evening of pulling boxes of ornaments out of storage, hauling the tree up the stairs and into the house, and basically terrifying the cats. How big? Oh, I'm hoping to find at least a twelve footer - maybe taller. Yeah, one big enough to terrify Larry David. We're lucky to have tall ceilings - old house. Merry Christmas to you too."
