Serve Your Own Weblog w/ OS X

The latest issues of both MacAddict and Macworld (November, 2002) contain wonderful feature articles for newbies looking to serve their own web site using OS X's built-in Apache web server, PHP and MySQL. MacAddict specifically focuses on weblogs, and illustrates how set up your own dynamic site easily using pMachine as the CMS. Macworld takes a more generalized approach with instructions on how to create any type of dynamic web site using PHP/MySQL and phpMyAdmin with full instructions and tips for web developers. You have to be somewhat comfortable with the terminal in order to follow both articles, but in general both are very easy reads. Neither magazine has published an online version of their respective how-tos, so you'll have to pick 'em up on newsstands.
