Wednesday Minute
Pascal Tremblay of Makeshift.ca has created a dreamy, emotive collection of photography and typography entitled Fields for k10k. Reminds me of something between David Carson and Emigre Magazine. Quite nice.
Speaking of k10k, I'm buying the brown one. If I could order, and get away with, buying a pink Girly T, I would.
On to Interland and the lovely circus that's errupted between myself and their sales reps. After days of phone calls, and no response, I finally landed a kind, patient soul who thus far has been very responsive. I'm beginning to see a light...
Caterina talks about exercising today, and how insanely boring it can be. The feeling is mutual. At the time I typically work out every day the only show we pick up on the crappy tv in front of our elliptical is Access Hollywood, followed by Extra. Funny thing is, you can't tell the two shows apart. Both crow endlessly about how brilliant, beautiful, and talented everyone in Hollywood is, and how we should all care that J-Lo is now screwing Ben Affleck.
On the music tip, I was saddened and a little embarassed to read that astoundingly influential musicologist Alan Lomax passed away three weeks ago on July 19, 2002. Along with his father, Alan captured the song and spirit of American music by traveling all around the country in a car with a trunk full of audio gear recording everything from chain gang songs to bluegrass to the first recordings of Muddy Waters. All roads of contemporary music lead, some more direct than others, back to Lomax and his library of recordings. Moby should send a freakin' huge bouquet of flowers, plus a donation to keep the archives alive, if he hasn't already.

He could get away with it if he wanted to... it's just a matter of how secure he is in his manhood... ;)

I'm sad that the blue one that said PixelDude is gone. I was about to buy it the other day and it wasn't there. *tear*

Interland is way too expensive for what you get, and their customer service is a joke. I still receive emails from the "Interland CEO" even though I dropped them almost a year ago. Guess what happens when I click the link to unsubscribe? Page not found. Nothing like spamming your own customers.
So I've been with phpwebhosting.com since, and I love it. Check 'em out.
