Flashforward 2002
A little over a month from now my wife and I will hop on a plane for NYC to attend Flashforward 2002, July 10-12 at the New Yorker Hotel. Actually, I'll be attending the conference during the day while my better half visits a bunch of old friends, leaving our evenings wide open (as we like them to be in NY).
This will be my first Flashforward, so if any readers have attended and have an opinion about the ho-down, drop me a line or leave a comment.

Todd,
The FF conferences are great, and NYC is a great location for the show. There's a number of write ups about the various FF conferences including these:

and the SF 2001 conference:

Just wanted to drop a line and say I went to the 2001 Flash Foward SF and enjoyed it alot. They threw a damn good party the first night which made it hard to get up the next day. Im traditional designer and get more info on the idea behind things, so I stuck with the conferences that involved more design then tech stuff. Watch out for the conferences that are just to promote a firms cool work and go to the conferences that are more informative. Also I would say stear clear of the conferences that are on highly technical stuff but only an hour long. They are informative but by the end of the day I couldnt remember anything enough to do it on my own. Also it helps to take notes sometimes.
All in all, I went back home feeling juiced and ready to be creative. Enjoy. Im sure it will be a blast.

Todd, i went last year to the NY conference, and loved every minute of it. The people you meet are worth the trip, there are people from every walk of life there, from top designers, to beginners, to corporate webmasters. Its a great conference, and I will be there again this year. Hope to see ya there.
