Good God, That's Huge

Yesterday at MacWorld Tokyo, Steve Jobs unveiled an astonishingly huge 23-inch LCD Apple Cinema HD Display that dwarfs just about everything else out there. I own a 17-inch Apple Studio Display, which is quite possibly the best hardware purchase I've ever made, so I'm not giving it up anytime soon. But that 23-inch screen...oh my. I can't wait to drop by an Apple store to see one.

Holy crap!! I'll bet the price tag matches the screen resolution...

Dang, I wish I had some extra cash for one of these 23 inchers. But I don't understand how they can charge exatly $1000 more for 1" more of screen space!

Actually, Sun Microsystems just came out with a 24.1" LCD display which costs $4500.

mentioned above is the sun 24" flat screen. curiously along the lines of standard pc hype their 24" monitor has a display resolution of 1920x1200, same as the 23" mac. what is with the imprecision of measurement? a 2ghz pc = a 800mhz mac? it is like italien currency, where 100,000 lira can buy a quarterpounder with cheese.
