Apple Store Coming To Atlanta

A sign was posted on wall covering a retail space formerly occupied by Eddie Bauer in Lenox Square mall indicating that an Apple Store is "coming soon." Atlanta creatives (you all DO use Macs, right?) will now have a place to pick up update CDs, get on-site repairs, and feel that special Gap-meets-John Pawson glow. Atlanta isn't listed on Apple's retail page yet, but it will be soon.

UPDATE: It's worth noting that the store will be located on the third floor of the mall, quite a distance from the parking lot. I hope I never have to carry my G4 up there.

Cool. Very cool. Alas, not all of us use Macs, at least at work... I'm forced to use a PC... have two at home, but they've been relegated to email and general surfing duties... sigh...

To qualify my previous comment: the two computers I have at home are Macs. I actually have three Macs at home: my wife, the pre-K teacher, uses my old G3 Beige Box. I have a Powerbook G3 (Wallstreet) that I carry to work to use for cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility checking (and to remind myself of my true allegiances). I also have my mother-in-law's iMac 233 at home on my desk that I've souped up a bit to handle OSX.

I really wish Apple had a "trade-up" policy like Gateway and some others initiated a while back. I'd love to trade in my PB and iMac for a hot new model...

I'm a PC user, and even I get a kick out of visiting the Apple Store here in Dallas.
