Giuliani
I have always held mixed feelings about Rudy Giuliani, specifically his ridiculous battle with the Brooklyn Museum of Modern Art, and his bend-over relationship with corporations like Disney. However, in this worldwide moment of tragedy, a leader has emerged. And it ain't Bush.
Rudy Giuliani has been tireless, accessible, blunt, and a calming presence amidst the rubble. Without prepared notes, Giuliani has given us all the facts -- straight up -- ten or more times a day. While other politicians ducked questions about death toll numbers, Giuliani from the get-go, has said it will be horrendous. Something we all knew from the beginning.
In moments of tragedy, we all want answers. And Giuliani, while obviously not responsible for our international issues, has truly shined in these chaotic times.
